Evil Supervillians & My First Chocolate Cherry Green Monster

Today started out so bad. I felt like an evil supervillian in a comic strip. I was angry at everything when I got up, for no good reason. I was mad that I had to take my dog out before work, even thought he was being a sweetheart. I was even mad at the birds for chirping…seriously what were THEY so happy about? See…I’m evil. The morning continued on like this when I got to work, I just couldn’t break out of the funk and no matter what happened, it pissed me off.

Now, let me say that this is not like me at all. I’m not a mad person in general, nor am I a depressed/pessimistic person. I tend to be very optimistic and I’m usually considered pretty bubbly. In fact a week ago, my co-worked called me about an issue and wanted to know how I always sound happy when I answer the phone. (There’s actually a trick to the phone happiness, but more about that later).

This morning just wasn’t working for me, and to be honest I’ve been under a lot of stress lately in general. I used to consider my stress skills top notch until recently. After two years of being in a funk, and generally not happy with where I’m at in life, I was on the edge of a nervous breakdown today.

But Not Anymore!!

It’s amazing how something as simple as a phone call can make all the difference. My stress is not gone, but suddenly everything is a lot brighter. I was even inspired to try my first Green Chocolate Cherry Monster.

Looks nasty! But was soooo good. I don’t know why I didn’t try these before.

This concoction included:

  • Chocolate Milk
  • Frozen Banana
  • Frozen Cherries
  • Dark Chocolate Cocoa Mix
  • Blender full of Spinach

It took a while for my blender to break down all the spinach, and a Vitamix would have seriously come in handy. Otherwise, it was easy to make and really really good!

So why did my mood change…I got a call I’ve been waiting for from my Realtor. I’m finally under contract for my FIRST HOME!!!

Queue the little happy dance :)

I’m still hesitant to get too excited because there are  a few hurdles that I’ll need to get through, but hopefully everything goes well and I’ll be in my first home at the end of May, which also happens to be my birthday month…YAY!!!.

So while this news did not change the entire world, it did change mine. Suddenly I could see the light at the end of the tunnel and I feel so energized again…and exhausted at the same time from all the stress.

Things are finally happening…good things all around!

**I should mention that while you will hear bits and pieces about the house and future decorating projects on EcoStella, I will be blogging all the details over at CherryOrchid. I have so many different projects planned, like building my own dining room table, to starting a vegetable garden, renovating a bathroom, and composting.

***Stay tuned for a fun giveaway, I should have the details posted soon.

Do you have a little happy dance when you get good news?
